New outlook

This past week I have been following The Bert Show as they took 13 chronic or terminally ill children to Disney World and I realized I need to do more with my life. (If you have not heard of BBA please go to this link and check it out http://www.bertsbigadventure.org/) I have ALWAYS wanted to be a nurse so I can help people. Please don't take offense to this next statement-but I feel like I want to do more than a nurse does. I know nurses are amazing people, but I want to do more than bathe patients, administer meds and clean up puke. I want to help people to be happy, it sounds so weird but it's true. I read all these stories of these BBA (Bert's Big Adventure) children and how happy this trip made the children AND their families. One week in Disney totally made their lives! For them to see their children so happy and not having to worry about doctor appointments and hospital visits and just getting to be a child. HOW AWESOME! I haven't really figured out what I want to do... but I know it's not what I'm doing now. I want something rewarding to my soul!



I have also decided I am going to start being a crazy coupon lady and I am Excited!!! I set up a separate email account so I can sign up for offers and not have 100 spam emails in my regular email account daily. I am also taking suggestions on this coupon craze, because I am very new at it. I have to get the sunday paper to get the coupons and of course I decide I want to be a coupon clipper on TUESDAY when we are in need for groceries. :p So I will have to start the coupon clipping next week I guess, which is okay maybe I can figure it all out before I have to actual start it.



I also have decided I'm going to start being more crafty. I am inspired by a friend who is so talented with refurbishing items she finds at goodwill. She fixed a mirror, cookie jar, pitcher.. all of which are just adorable!! I LOVE making things and saving money!! I think I need to begin this hobby!! :)

Erika was just on CBS Atlanta talking about Gabriel! :) She did great and Gabriel looked so happy and sweet (as always). I just love that little guy, I know I say that all the time, but it's true. In other news.. I feel like I have been running a marathon at work today. It was crazy busy for most of the day. It has been that way for the past couple of weeks. It seems that we are busy but more disorganized than anything so we are running all over the place and shouldn't be. We really need to work on getting organized in our new set up ASAP or I'm going to lose my mind. LOL I am going to talk to the pharmacist about this over the weekend.

appreciation..

Friday night at work I was approached by one of the pharmacist and he told me how much he appreciated all I do around the pharmacy and that I was a great asset! (I think he is reading my blog! lol) :) It really was nice to be told I was doing a great job! I put A LOT into that place, I am always trying to find a new/better way to do things around there to make things run more smoothly!

Friday was Pablo's 26th Birthday! We went to dinner with some friends at Henry's (YUM!) We had a great time with great company! Sunday we went to his parents for dinner. I always love having Sierra Family Dinners and it's even better when it's someone's birthday!!! My parents also came to celebrate also! :) unfortunately Mary had to leave up take her dad to the hospital. He is retaining A LOT of fluid, he's at the hospital now so they can get this fluid out so his heart can continue to work properly! I hope Grandaddy gets better soon! I love going over there because we get to see that sweet little Gabriel! He is turning ONE in a couple of weeks! WOAH has this year flown by!! It seems like they just told us they were pregnant with him! I think his treatments are starting to affect him more than they did at first. He is getting sick more often now. Which is heartbreaking to see! He is still such a sweet little man though! I was holding him & he snuggled up to me and almost fell asleep- it was the sweetest thing! Erika & I took a bunch of pictures! We decided we need more pictures of all of us!

Its almost his Birthday

Tomorrow, Friday, is Pablo's birthday!!! I gave him a little present tonight, but he wouldn't tell me what he wanted. He's not the easiest person to buy for! But it was exciting to go to the "husband" section in the birthday cards today and pick one out for him!! Sometimes it still doesn't feel real that we are married, so it's times like this when it really hits home that I'm a WIFE!!! :) I can't wait to have a wonderful weekend celebrating my HUSBAND's birthday!! :)

life as I know it...

SO I haven't blogged in a while.. sorry about that. It's hard for me to get used to updating my life on here..

I love my job I really do but sometimes I feel like I do SO SO much and don't get enough recognition. I mean they defintely tell me thank you and such but I feel like I seriously bust my ass for them every day and a random thank you isn't really enough. I put so much into my job, so much that I dream about it approximatley 3 times a week-ridiculous. I want to go back to school to pursue a carreer that I really want to do for the rest of my life. What that is.. I'm still not sure-which is frustrating in itself. I always thought I wanted to be a nurse. I love helping people, being there for them, I am good in high stress situations, I think quick and instantly react to a situation. Blood doesn't make me queezy, neither do needles or vomit.. I could totally be a nurse. I am unsure if the reason I am second guessing myself is because I have been denied 3 times to a program or that this is really not what I a want to do. Unfortunately I think it's the first. So I am really trying to take a step back and assess the situation, really think it through and make a decision of what will be best. I get so frustrated because I am going on 25 this year (woah.. that's crazy!) and I wish I was already finished with this part of my life. But I'm not so I guess I need to buckle down and get it situated right!?

My good friend had her baby Saturday morning. He is so precious. His name is Liam and I love him already! :) I can not wait to go visit with her again very soon and love on him and play with her other son Aiden! He is such a good boy! Kristen did a great job on raising him and I know she will do the same with Liam! She is a wonderful mom!

Gabriel is turning ONE on the 26th! YAY Birthday Boy!!! He is doing well with his treatments. They have finally returned from Oklahoma (yippie!) We got to see them last weekend and it was wonderful! I got to hold Gabriel for a little bit and it made my heart happy! :) I just can't get enough of him. I played with him while he was in his carseat hanging out while we all ate. He is so funny & cute! Isabel was trying to play with him and he pushed her away-so she tattled on him. HAHA It was so cute! a 3 year old tattling on an almost 1 year old for "hitting" her! so silly!

Someone else special has a birthday coming up soon... MY HUSBAND!!!! :) I'm not so sure what we are going to do OR what I am getting him because he won't say. BUT either way it's his special day in 4 days and I LOVE birthdays even when they aren't mine!

Welcome 2011

Pablo & I had a wonderful first Married Christmas!! :) we of course had many places to go to visit everyone but it was worth the running around to get to spend time with our loved ones! This was the first Christmas I was not at my grandma's for breakfast Christmas morning-which was weird but I enjoyed being with Pablo's family! I love my in-laws. I got a adorable Coach purse and matching wallet for Christmas and Pablo got a PlayStation3!! :) Santa was good to us!

Our New Years Eve celebration was lots of fun! We went with some friends to Sidelines in Acworth (our usually hangout spot) and ate some dinner and hung out to ring in the New Year!!!. It was so much fun! We danced, talked & just had a wonderful time! I am excited for 2011- nothing is planned to happen for us I just love the idea of having a fresh start. I hope to stick to my resolutions and goals. I tried not to set them too high so I would be more willing to complete them! :)

Christmas is almost here!!!

Well hello everyone! I haven't updated in a while.. Sorry! I have not had much time to get on here and write about my life!! I have been working A LOT lately and when I'm not working I'm being a wife. Ya know-cleaning, cooking, spending time with my husband! :)
I am so excited for Christmas, yet I have no clue what to get Pablo (Christmas is just 11 days away-AHH!!!) I know what I want to get him but I just don't know if I can do it! We shall see.. Santa might be really awesome this year!

I went to Santa's House twice this year! It is so awesome there! Santa lives in Canton, GA if you didn't know! He was on Channel 2 last week as one of North Georgia's Hidden Secrets! Here are a few pictures from Santa's!

I loved taking my family and friends to see Santa. It makes me feel like a kid again to be there! :)

I really can not believe Christmas is in 2 days! 2010 flew by! It was a great year though without a doubt! It still doesn't feel real that Pablo and I are MARRIED!! woah! We have been together for almost 9 years... (March 24th will be 9 years!) I love him! :) There hasn't been too much going on around here just thinking about Macho, Erika and Gabriel! They are currently in Oklahoma for Gabriel's radiation at a facility called ProCure. They will be there until about January 25th! Gabriel is doing well, responding to radiation and chemo well. He is such a happy baby. Erika sends me pictures of him often and it just makes me smile because everyone he is smiling or laughing! I just love that chunky little man.
